Sport is an important part of school life at Ajman Academy. There are extensive facilities available to students at Ajman Academy including 2 sports halls, a 25m swimming pool, full size outdoor football pitch, 2 tennis courts, 5 a-side football pitch and an outdoor volleyball and basketball court.

Ajman academy offers a wide range of sports through the curriculum and in the Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs). Curriculum PE includes activities such as swimming, football, netball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, gymnastics, dance, badminton, volleyball, rounders, health and fitness and athletics.

Sports Days are an important opportunity for pupils to compete for their house and show some of their individual and team work talents. All pupils at Ajman Academy take part in Sports Day with the days design to encourage participation but also a good opportunity for the top athletes to showcase their talents!

Interhouse competitions are an integral part of school life where various competitions are arranged throughout the year so that pupils can gain extra points for their house and the converted house trophy.

Ajman enters a number of local tournaments and competitions in the EISSA organisation which provides the pupils with a chance to compete against other schools and further develop their sports skills. The school are currently the U12 and U14 EISSA football league champions and the boys Swimming champions.

The swim teams had a busy 2016-2017 academic year in the pool with the swim coaches working extremely hard with all the squads. The boys won the overall EISSA Cup which combines all the age groups from years 4 to 11. The squads also had great success at the BSME and MEUC swim galas where they competed against swimmers from across the Middle East with the squad earning 13 golds, 4 silver, 2 bronze medals including 4 championship records and 2 high points trophies for the best swimmers.

As well as this, Ajman Academy has competed in a number of National and International tournaments against schools all from all around the Middle Eastern region. Pupils have attended the BSME U11 Games in 2015 & 2016 and have been involved in National football competitions against schools from all over the Emirates.
